12-18 Months Before the Wedding
Set Your Budget: Determine your overall budget. Decide on a rough allocation for each category (venue, catering, attire, etc.).
Create a Guest List: Draft a preliminary guest list. Consider the capacity of Lofted View Events. We can seat up to 300 inside for dinner.

Book Your Venue: Schedule a tour of Lofted View Events. Confirm your wedding date and venue.
Hire a Wedding Planner (if needed): Research and hire a wedding planner if you need additional support.
Start a Wedding Binder: Collect inspiration and ideas. Organize contracts, brochures, and notes.
9-12 Months Before the Wedding
Select Your Wedding Party: Ask friends and family to be part of your wedding party.
Begin Dress Shopping: Start looking for your wedding dress and attire for the wedding party. Remember, depending on your dress provider, it can take many months to get a custom dress. Remember to allow time for final alterations.

Test out a few ideas early on- look at sites like Pinterest, Tik-Tok and others to gather ideas, visit your local craft store and decide what's best for your style and budget. Also determine head-table decor and backdrops. Remember, simple is elegant! Pro Tip: Soft lighting on each table is an easy way to add ambiance and lighting once the dance is in full-swing!
6-9 Months Before the Wedding
Send Save-the-Dates: Notify guests of your wedding date and location.
Select Invitations: Choose your wedding invitations and other stationery.
Book Accommodations: Reserve a block of hotel rooms for out-of-town guests. Lofted View Events is just 12-14 minutes from several local hotels near the Southern Hills Mall and Lakeport Commons.
Plan Your Honeymoon: Decide on a destination and make necessary bookings.
Register for Gifts: Create a wedding registry at your favorite stores. Consider local retailers and online options to make gift-buying easy. Choose gifts in a variety of price-ranges.
4-6 Months Before the Wedding
Finalize Guest List: Confirm your guest list and gather addresses.
Order Wedding Rings: Select and purchase your wedding bands.
Book Transportation: Arrange transportation for the wedding party and guests. Several shuttle services are available on our vendors page.

Plan for the Bar: Decide how you want the bar to work. At Lofted View, you can host the bar, offer drink tickets, host kegs, wine or signature cocktails. We work with you to fit your budget and party style. We have a full liquor license featuring beer, seltzers and a wide array of cocktail options.
Create Seating Chart: Plan the seating arrangement for the reception. Many weddings do not do a seating chart for all guests, but you will still want to consider how many reserved tables you will need close to the head-table.
Prepare Favors and Welcome Bags: Assemble guest favors and welcome bags for out-of-town guests. Some couples choose to do a small wedding favor for all guests. Something simple like a koozie or snack bag is a nice touch.
Apply for Marriage License: Check the requirements and apply for your marriage license.
Confirm Honeymoon Plans: Ensure all bookings and arrangements are confirmed.
2-4 Weeks Before the Wedding
Send Final Payments: Make final payments to vendors.
